applicant authority — the competent authority of a Member State which makes a request for assistance 1.
legislation on veterinary matters — all Community provisions and provisions which contribute to the application of Community rules governing animal health, public health as related to the veterinary sector, health inspection of animals, meat and other products of animal origin, and animal protection 1.
legislation on zootechnical matters — all Community provisions and provisions which contribute to the application of Community rules on zootechnical matters 1.
