TEST CONDITIONS 2.1. Idling shall be regulated in conformity with the manufacturer's recommendations ; in the absence of such recommendations it shall be so regulated as to achieve a maximum vacuum in the intake manifold. 2.2. The measurements shall be performed in the following three sets of conditions of engine operation: >PIC FILE= "T0002131"> 2.4. The engine speed for measurements as referred to under 2 and 3 in item 2.2 shall be selected as the lowest engine speed at which, gear ratios being taken into account, the vehicle can travel at a speed of 50 km/h in normal operating conditions.
