Article 3

Council Directive 79/869/EEC of 9 October 1979 concerning the methods of measurement and frequencies of sampling and analysis of surface water intended for the abstraction of drinking water in the Member States · European Union

1. Analysis of samples of water taken shall concern those parameters set out in Annex II to Directive 75/440/EEC to which I and/or G values have been assigned. 2. Member States shall as far as possible use the reference methods of measurement referred to in Annex I to this Directive. 3. The values for the limit of detection and for the precision and accuracy of the methods of measurement used to check the parameters set out in Annex I to this Directive must be respected.
