Council Directive 88/388/EEC of 22 June 1988 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to flavourings for use in foodstuffs and to source materials for their production · European Union

By way of derogation from paragraph 1, the information required in paragraph 1 (d), (e) and (f) may appear merely on the trade documents relating to the consignment which are to be supplied with or prior to the delivery, provided the indication 'intended for the manufacture of foodstuffs and not for retail' appears in a conspicuous part of the packaging or container of the products in question.
