Council Directive 90/675/EEC of 10 December 1990 laying down the principles governing the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from third countries · European Union

The cost of the veterinary checks provided for in this Article shall be borne by the operator seeking customs warehousing or temporary storage. These costs, including a deposit to cover the costs incurred as a result of any recourse to the possibilities provided for in Article 16 (3), must be paid before the products enter the warehouse.
