16. Room dimensions and air space in rooms — freedom of movement at the workstation

Council Directive 92/91/EEC of 3 November 1992 concerning the minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers in the mineral- extracting industries through drilling (eleventh individual Directive within the meaning of Article 16 (1) of Directive 89/391/EEC) · European Union

Workrooms must have sufficient surface area, height and air space to allow workers to perform their work without risk to their safety, health or well-being. The dimensions of the unoccupied area at the workstation must allow workers sufficient freedom of movement and enable them to perform their work safely.
