Council Directive 93/75/EEC of 13 September 1993 concerning minimum requirements for vessels bound for or leaving Community ports and carrying dangerous or polluting goods · European Union

Vessels entering or leaving a port located in a Member State shall in accordance with the national regulations of that State: make use of the service provided by the local vessel traffic service (VTS), where they exist; make use of pilots.
