Council Regulation (EC) No 1466/97 of 7 July 1997 on the strengthening of the surveillance of budgetary positions and the surveillance and coordination of economic policies · European Union

As part of the multilateral surveillance described in this Regulation, the Council shall carry out the overall assessment described in Article 103 (3). In accordance with the second subparagraph of Article 103 (4) the President of the Council and the Commission shall include in their report to the European Parliament the results of the multilateral surveillance carried out under this Regulation. This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 July 1998.
