Council Directive 1999/35/EC of 29 April 1999 on a system of mandatory surveys for the safe operation of regular ro-ro ferry and high-speed passenger craft services · European Union

Member States shall, in accordance with national legislation, establish and maintain appropriate procedures covering the right of appeal by a company against a decision to prevent operation. Appeals should be dealt with expeditiously. An appeal shall not cause the decision to be automatically suspended. The competent authority shall duly inform the company of its right of appeal.
