ensure that the treatment, recovery or disposal of ship-generated waste and cargo residues shall be carried out in accordance with Directive 75/442/EEC and other relevant Community waste legislation, in particular Council Directive 75/439/EEC of 16 June 1975 on the disposal of waste oils(9) and Council Directive 91/689/EEC of 12 December 1991 on hazardous waste(10).
