Article 16 › 3

Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy · European Union

In the course of the review referred to in paragraph 2, the Commission shall categorise, where appropriate, the priority substances into one or more of the following categories: (a) priority hazardous substances; (b) substances behaving like ubiquitous persistent bioaccumulative and toxic substances (uPBTs); (c) substances that tend to accumulate in sediment or in biota, or in both.
