If the competent authorities in the Member State referred to in paragraph 1 confirm that a change in the information set out in the information document justifies new checks or new tests, they shall inform the manufacturer accordingly and shall perform those tests. Should the checks or tests involve amendments to the existing type-approval certificate or the drawing up of a new certificate, the authorities shall inform the competent authorities of the other Member States in accordance with Article 6.
