Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 January 2003 on insider dealing and market manipulation (market abuse) · European Union
The competent authority shall be given all supervisory and investigatory powers that are necessary for the exercise of its functions. It shall exercise such powers: directly; or in collaboration with other authorities or with the market undertakings; or under its responsibility by delegation to such authorities or to the market undertakings; or by application to the competent judicial authorities.
