A contact committee shall be set up which has as its functions: to facilitate, without prejudice to Articles 226 and 227 of the Treaty, the harmonised application of this Directive through regular meetings dealing with practical problems arising in connection with its application; to advise the Commission, if necessary, on additions or amendments to this Directive.
