Regulation (EC) No 851/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 april 2004 establishing a European Centre for disease prevention and control · European Union

The Centre, through the operation of the dedicated surveillance networks and the provision of technical and scientific expertise to the Commission and Member States, shall support the networking activities of the competent bodies recognised by the Member States.
