An Advisory Committee for the Coordination of Social Security Systems (hereinafter referred to as "Advisory Committee") is hereby established, comprising, from each Member State: one government representative; one representative from the trade unions; one representative from the employers' organisations. For each of the categories referred to above, an alternate member shall be appointed for each Member State. The members and alternate members of the Advisory Committee shall be appointed by the Council. The Advisory Committee shall be chaired by a representative of the Commission of the European Communities. The Advisory Committee shall draw up its rules of procedure.
