Directive 2005/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2005 on enhancing port security (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

(3) On 31 March 2004 the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted Regulation (EC) No 725/2004 OJ L 129, 29.4.2004, p. 6. on enhancing ship and port facility security. The maritime security measures imposed by that Regulation constitute only part of the measures necessary to achieve an adequate level of security throughout maritime-linked transport chains. That Regulation is limited in scope to security measures on board vessels and the immediate ship/port interface.
