In order to prevent the spread of avian influenza, the competent authority may, in addition to the measures provided for in Sections 3, 4 and 5, order the implementation of additional biosecurity measures in holdings in the protection and surveillance zones and in the further restricted zones, as well as in poultry compartments and other captive birds compartments in the Member State concerned. Those measures may include restrictions on movements of vehicles or persons for feed supply, egg collection, the transport to slaughterhouses of poultry, the collection for disposal of carcases and other movements of personnel, veterinarians or persons supplying farm equipment.
