(35) Where the control of a serious aquatic animal disease is subject to harmonised Community eradication measures, Member States should be allowed to make use of financial contribution from the Community under Council Regulation (EC) No 1198/2006 of 27 July 2006 on the European Fisheries Fund OJ L 223, 15.8.2006, p. 1. . Any application for Community support should be subject to scrutiny as regards compliance with control provisions laid down in this Directive.
