Article 12

Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 January 2006 concerning the establishment of a European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register and amending Council Directives 91/689/EEC and 96/61/EC (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

The Commission shall provide the public with early and effective opportunities to participate in the further development of the European PRTR, including capacity-building and the preparation of amendments to this Regulation. The public shall have the opportunity to submit any relevant comments, information, analyses or opinions within a reasonable timeframe. The Commission shall take due account of such input and shall inform the public about the outcome of the public participation.
