3. SKILLS REQUIRED OF THE AUDITORS

Framework Directive

Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles (Framework Directive) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

3.1. The assessments may only be conducted by auditors having the technical and administrative knowledge necessary for such purposes. 3.2. The auditors must have been trained specifically for assessment activities. In addition, they must have the specific knowledge of the technical area in which the technical service will exercise its activities. 3.3. Without prejudice to the provisions of points 3.1. and 3.2., the assessment referred to in Article 42 paragraph 4 must be conducted by auditors independent of the activities for which the assessment is conducted.
