6. SUBCONTRACTING THE ASSESSMENT

Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles (Framework Directive) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

6.1. The competent authority may subcontract parts of the assessment to another designation authority or ask for support from technical experts provided by other competent authorities. The subcontractors and experts have to be accepted by the applicant technical service. 6.2. The competent authority must take into account accreditation certificates with adequate scope in order to complete its global assessment of the technical service.
