1. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LICENCE

Directive 2007/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on the certification of train drivers operating locomotives and trains on the railway system in the Community · European Union

The physical characteristics of the train driver’s licence must be in conformity with ISO standards 7810 and 7816-1. The card must be made of polycarbonate. The methods for verifying the characteristics of the driving licences to ensure that they are consistent with international standards must comply with ISO standard 10373.
