Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community (Recast) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

The Agency shall set up and keep a register of types of vehicles authorised by the Member States for placing in service on the Community rail network. This register shall meet the following criteria: it shall be public and electronically accessible; it shall comply with the common specifications referred to in paragraph 4; it shall be linked with all national vehicle registers.
