Directive 2008/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 September 2008 on the inland transport of dangerous goods (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

Subject: Exemption from the requirement to carry a transport document for certain quantities of dangerous goods (other than Class 7) as defined in 1.1.3.6 (E2). Reference to Annex I, Section I.1, to this Directive: 1.1.3.6.2 and 1.1.3.6.3. Content of the Annex to the Directive: Exemptions from certain requirements for certain quantities per transport unit. Content of the national legislation: Transport document is not required for limited quantities, except where these form part of a larger load. Initial reference to the national legislation: The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004: Regulation 3(7)(a). Comments: This exemption is suited to national transport, where a transport document is not always appropriate in cases where local distribution is involved. Expiry date: 30 June 2015.
