DIRECTIVE 2008/98/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 19 November 2008 on waste and repealing certain Directives (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

Each Member State shall designate the competent authorities responsible for the coordination of the measures to prevent generation of food waste referred to in Article 9a(1) implemented in order to reach the targets set out in Article 9a(4) and inform accordingly the Commission by 17 January 2026. The Commission shall subsequently publish that information on the relevant website.
