34. Crème de cassis

Crème de cassis is a blackcurrant liqueur with a minimum sugar content of 400 grams per litre expressed as invert sugar. The minimum alcoholic strength by volume of crème de cassis shall be 15 %. The rules on flavouring substances and preparations for liqueurs laid down under category 32 shall apply to crème de cassis. The sales denomination may be supplemented by the term ‘liqueur’.
