Council Decision of 6 April 2009 establishing the European Police Office (Europol) · European Union

Europol shall have legal personality. In each Member State Europol shall enjoy the most extensive legal and contractual capacity accorded to legal persons under that Member State’s law. Europol may, in particular, acquire and dispose of movable and immovable property and may be a party to legal proceedings. Europol shall be empowered to conclude a Headquarters Agreement with the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
