As soon as possible, the situation shall be examined within the Committee. In accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 40(2), it may be decided to adopt any measures appropriate to the situation including, in particular, the establishment of a vaccination buffer zone, and to grant a Community financial contribution towards the measures deemed particularly necessary for the success of the action undertaken.
