Ammunition for the weapons controlled by ML1, ML2 or ML12; Fuse setting devices specially designed for ammunition controlled by ML3.a. Note 1Specially designed components include: Metal or plastic fabrications such as primer anvils, bullet cups, cartridge links, rotating bands and munitions metal parts; Safing and arming devices, fuses, sensors and initiation devices; Power supplies with high one-time operational output; Combustible cases for charges; Submunitions including bomblets, minelets and terminally guided projectiles. Note 2ML3.a. does not control ammunition crimped without a projectile (blankstar) and dummy ammunition with a pierced powder chamber. Note 3ML3.a. does not control cartridges specially designed for any of the following purposes: Signalling; Bird scaring; or Lighting of gas flares at oil wells.
