Solvency II

Directive 2009/138/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of Insurance and Reinsurance (Solvency II) (recast) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

‘home Member State’ means any of the following: for non-life insurance, the Member State in which the head office of the insurance undertaking covering the risk is situated; for life insurance, the Member State in which the head office of the insurance undertaking covering the commitment is situated; or for reinsurance, the Member State in which the head office of the reinsurance undertaking is situated;
