Text with relevance for the EEA and for Switzerland
Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2009 on European statistics and repealing Regulation (EC, Euratom) No 1101/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the transmission of data subject to statistical confidentiality to the Statistical Office of the European Communities, Council Regulation (EC) No 322/97 on Community Statistics, and Council Decision 89/382/EEC, Euratom establishing a Committee on the Statistical Programmes of the European Communities (Text with relevance for the EEA and for Switzerland) · European Union

The Commission shall be assisted by the ESS Committee. Where reference is made to this paragraph, Articles 5 and 7 of Decision 1999/468/EC shall apply, having regard to the provisions of Article 8 thereof. The period laid down in Article 5(6) of Decision 1999/468/EC shall be set at three months. Where reference is made to this paragraph, Article 5a(1) to (4) and Article 7 of Decision 1999/468/EC shall apply, having regard to the provisions of Article 8 thereof. Regulation (EC, Euratom) No 1101/2008 is hereby repealed. References to the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to this Regulation. References to the Committee on Statistical Confidentiality established under the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to the ESS Committee established by Article 7 of this Regulation. Regulation (EC) No 322/97 is hereby repealed. References to the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to this Regulation. Decision 89/382/EEC, Euratom is hereby repealed. References to the Statistical Programme Committee shall be construed as references to the ESS Committee established by Article 7 of this Regulation. This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
