The Agency shall have a Management Board consisting of one representative of each Member State and two representatives of the Commission. In addition, there may be one representative of each other country which participates in the Agency, in accordance with the relevant provisions. In addition, the European Parliament shall designate, as members of the Management Board, two scientific personalities particularly qualified in the field of environmental protection, who shall be chosen on the basis of the personal contribution they are likely to make to the Agency’s work. Each member of the Management Board may be represented by an alternate member.
