The period of authorisation shall be laid down in the authorisation. Without prejudice to Article 44, the duration of an authorisation shall be set for a period not exceeding 1 year from the date of expiry of the approval of the active substances, safeners and synergists contained in the plant protection product and thereafter for as long as the active substances, safeners and synergists contained in the plant protection product are approved. This period shall allow the examination as provided for in Article 43 to be carried out.
