Having regard to the objective of the Lisbon strategy on growth and jobs of increasing overall employment rates to 70 %, women’s employment rates to 60 % and the employment rates of older workers to 50 %; to the Barcelona targets on the provision of childcare facilities; and to the contribution of policies to improve reconciliation of professional, private and family life in achieving these targets;
