The definition of minimum requirements, for road safety related ‘universal traffic information’ provided, where possible, free of charge to all users, as well as their minimum content, based on: the identification and use of a standardised list of safety related traffic events (‘universal traffic messages’) which should be communicated to ITS users free of charge, The compatibility and the integration of ‘universal traffic messages’ into ITS services for real-time traffic and multimodal travel information.
