Article 20 › 1

Member States shall take the necessary measures to ensure that the operator informs the competent authority of any planned change in the nature or functioning, or any extension, of the installation which may have consequences for the environment, in due time and in any event prior to the implementation of any such change or extension. Where appropriate, the competent authority shall update the permit. Member States shall take the necessary measures to ensure that the competent authority reacts in due time to the information provided by the operator.
