(2) Regulation (EC) No 661/2009 repeals Council Directive 92/23/EEC of 31 March 1992 relating to tyres for motor vehicles and their trailers and to their fitting OJ L 129, 14.5.1992, p. 95. . The requirements set out in that Directive should be carried over to this Regulation and, where necessary, adapted to the development of scientific and technical knowledge.
