3.2.1. Support for research-intensive SMEs

A specific action will promote transnational market-oriented innovation of R&D performing SMEs. It targets research-intensive SMEs in any sectors that also need to demonstrate their capability to commercially exploit the project results. The action will cover the entire field of science and technology with a bottom-up approach to fit the needs of R&D performing SMEs. The action will be implemented by an Article 185 TFEU initiative building on the Eurostars Programme and reorienting it along the lines stated in its interim evaluation.
