CRD IV
Each designated authority shall assess and set the appropriate countercyclical buffer rate for its Member State on a quarterly basis, and in so doing shall take into account: (a) the buffer guide calculated in accordance with paragraph 2; (b) any current guidance maintained by the ESRB in accordance with Article 135(1)(a), (c) and (d) and any recommendations issued by the ESRB on the setting of a buffer rate; (c) other variables that the designated authority considers relevant for addressing cyclical systemic risk.
