Institutions may rely on the following third parties to calculate and report own funds requirements for position risk for positions in CIUs falling under paragraphs 1 to 4, in accordance with the methods set out in this Chapter: (a) the depository of the CIU provided that the CIU exclusively invests in securities and deposits all securities at this depository; (b) for other CIUs, the CIU management company, provided that the CIU management company meets the criteria set out in Article 132(3)(a). The correctness of the calculation shall be confirmed by an external auditor.
