Institutions shall determine the portion of the total residual amount referred to point (d) of paragraph 1 that is subject to Article 472(11) by dividing the amount specified in point (a) of this paragraph by the amount specified in point (b) of this paragraph: (a) the amount of direct and indirect holdings of the Common Equity Tier 1 instruments referred to in point (b) of Article 470(2); (b) the sum of the amounts referred to in points (a) and (b) of Article 470(2).
