Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 laying down common provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 · European Union

To address the effects of the economic crisis on Member States within the euro area on their level of prosperity, and in order to boost growth and job creation in these Member States, the Structural Funds will provide the following additional allocations: EUR 1375000000 for the more developed regions of Greece; EUR 1000000000 for Portugal, distributed as follows: EUR 450000000 for more developed regions, of which EU 150000000 for Madeira, EUR 75000000 for the transition region and EUR 475000000 for the less developed regions; EUR 100000000 for the Border, Midland and Western region of Ireland; EUR 1824000000 for Spain, of which EUR 500000000 for Extremadura, EUR 1051000000 for the transition regions and EUR 273000000 for the more developed regions; EUR 1500000000 for the less developed regions of Italy, out of which EUR 500000000 for non-urban areas.
