DIRECTIVE 2014/49/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 16 April 2014 on deposit guarantee schemes (recast) (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union
Without prejudice to Article 16(5) and (7), the following schemes shall not be subject to this Directive: (a) contractual schemes that are not officially recognised as DGSs, including schemes that offer an additional protection to the coverage level laid down in Article 6(1); (b) institutional protection schemes (IPS) that are not officially recognised as DGSs. Member States shall ensure that schemes referred to in points (a) and (b) of the first subparagraph have in place adequate financial means or relevant financing arrangements to fulfil their obligations.
