Member States may confer upon resolution authorities additional tools and powers exercisable where an institution or entity referred to in point (b), (c) or (d) of Article 1(1) meets the conditions for resolution, provided that: (a) when applied to a cross-border group, those additional powers do not pose obstacles to effective group resolution; and (b) they are consistent with the resolution objectives and the general principles governing resolution referred to in Articles 31 and 34.
