(22) The Union should make funding available for the technical, scientific, coordination and communication activities necessary to ensure the correct implementation of Union law and to ensure the adaptation of the law to scientific, technological and societal developments. Funding should also be made available for projects that aim to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of official controls.
