Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on cableway installations and repealing Directive 2000/9/EC (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

Any defect in the cableway installation which could result in a failure endangering safety shall, where practicable, be detected, reported and processed by a safety device. The same applies to any normally foreseeable external event which may endanger safety.
