Article 60

In the event of an official confirmation in accordance with Article 58(1) of an outbreak of a listed disease as referred to in point (a) of Article 9(1) in kept animals, the competent authority shall immediately: declare the affected establishment, food or feed business, animal by–products establishment or other location as officially infected with that listed disease; establish a restricted zone appropriate for that listed disease; implement the contingency plan provided for in Article 43(1) to ensure full coordination of the disease control measures.
