Where the competent authority of an affected Member State suspects or officially confirms the presence of a listed disease as referred to in point (a) of Article 9(1) in wild animals, it shall: conduct, where relevant for that particular listed disease, surveillance in the wild animal population; take the necessary disease prevention and control measures.
