Transporters of kept ungulates engaged in the transportation of those animals between Member States or between a Member State and a third country shall, in order to be registered in accordance with Article 93, before they commence such activities: inform the competent authority of their activity; provide that competent authority with information on: the name and address of the transporter concerned; the categories, species and numbers of kept ungulates for which transportation is planned; the type of transport; the means of transport.
